BOOK YOUR SESSION

Family + Newborn + Maternity | Lifestyle Sessions

You will email me through the contact page, and we will pick a date, time and location for your session. To reserve your shoot date, 50% of session fee is due at time of booking, 50% is due on the day of the shoot. A signed e-contract will also be required.

I’m available for photo sessions in the Austin and surrounding central Texas areas (Georgetown, Round Rock, Cedar Park, Pflugerville, Leander, Brushy Creek, Bastrop, Lakeway, Bee Cave, Dripping Springs, Liberty Hill, Wimberley and Driftwood). Based on the look and feel you are wanting in your pictures, I can offer some outdoor location suggestions in and around ATX. Picking a fun and safe place where the kids can run wild and free and not stress the parents out is key. I also love, love, looooooove doing sessions in the comfort of your own home.

B&W Personality Portraits + Heirloom Portraits | Studio Sessions

These petite studio sessions are scheduled on certain days throughout the year. You will be able to book a session directly on B&W Personality Portraits or Heirloom Vignette Portraits page. If all events are sold out for the season, please make sure to add yourself to my newsletter as priority booking links are sent to email subscribers first. What’s left (if anything) is then listed on my website for public booking. If you wish to host a private event for either, please feel free to reach out to me here.

SHOOT TIME

Family + Maternity Sessions will last one hour. Newborn Sessions will last up to two hours. If you are doing an in-home session (weekdays only), these begin at 10:30 am and outdoor sessions (all days) begin about an hour to an hour-and-half before sunset or right before the sun rises. These shoot times provide the softest light and diminish the look of harsh shadows (aka raccoon eyes) on faces and skin. I promise you, these times are the times you want for your session.

The later shoot times of spring mean keeping kids up past bedtime, sometimes significantly as we get into late spring. Don’t worry, though – I promise it’s worth it and I have ALL the best tricks!

My photo sessions are designed so you don't have to be in charge! No, really. Once you get there, I'll distract everyone with prompts and games to capture authentic moments and REAL smiles.

My goal is for you to enjoy (yes, truly!) your family and let me be your guide.

Spring + Fall can be tricky to snag a prime spot, so you’ll want to book early —especially if you need a weekend.

THE EXPERIENCE

I don’t believe in stiff, uncomfy, awkward poses. The best photos come from when y’all are relaxed and just having a good time. That’s why I use a few fun (and sometimes silly) prompts to help guide you so we can create beautiful moments forever caught on camera. No traditional “say cheese” here, double pinky swear!

About three weeks after our shoot date (B&W Personality Portraits are delivered sooner), you’ll receive your digital gallery and instantly be able to download your photos that you can share with family and friends. Family, Newborn and Maternity Lifestyle Sessions receive print credit for three 8 x 10 prints. Heirloom Vignette Portraits receive print credit for one archival quality 5 x 7 fine art print (the best of the best when it comes to photo paper and ink). And B&W Personality Portraits also come with a different $ print credit, depending on the collection you choose. Should you wish to order additional prints, lockets, ornaments, frames, etc — you have access to my professional photography print lab (the quality is absolutely amazing and the prices are competitive) .

HOW MANY IMAGES WILL WE GET FROM OUR LIFESTYLE SESSION?

When it comes to photos, I'm a believer in quality over quantity. We all have a gazillion photos on our phone that sit neglected, in no small part due to the sheer volume of them. After the session, I carefully sift through the images to select the best of the best, which typically ends up being about 50 for my lifestyle sessions. I then fully edit and retouch each and every one so that you have a gorgeous set of final images to enjoy (and actually do something with). The final amount of images that you walk away with after our Heirloom Vignette Portrait Session and B&W Personality Portrait session depends on the amount you decide on. Please make sure to visit those pages for more information on number of images for each.

WHAT SHOULD WE WEAR?

For lifestyle sessions, once you complete the booking process, I will send you a detailed Welcome Packet with wardrobe ideas (and shopping links) + session tips and tricks. If you have a question on something that is not covered in the packet, please feel free to email me at info@noellewestcott.com. For Heirloom Vignette Portrait Session and B&W Personality Portrait please make sure to visit those pages for wardrobe guides. You will also receive information regarding wardrobe in event emails.

WHAT IF THE WEATHER IS BAD?

We'll reschedule at your convenience. I do not reschedule for overcast weather, but we may move the session time up a little. Overcast skies make for some really pretty pictures, promise! For studio sessions, I shoot rain or shine as the weather does not impact the outcome of those photos since I use strobes.

WHAT IF WE HAVE TO CANCEL?

Because I am turning away other clients in order to serve you on your date, the deposit is non-refundable. If you need to reschedule your session due to sickness, injury, or a scheduling conflict — please contact me at least 24 hours prior to your session and the deposit will move with the session.

Respectfully, I also reserve the right to reschedule a session due to illness, emergency, death in the family, inclement weather, and other unforeseen events beyond my control. I will make sure to inform you of any such occurrences as soon as possible and will reschedule your session at the earliest date available.

WHEN CAN WE SEE OUR PHOTOS?

Turnaround time for lifestyle sessions is around 2.5 to 3 weeks. Sometimes sooner. Turnaround time for B&W Personality Portraits is usually 1 week. And Heirloom Vignette Portraits take about 2 to 2.5 weeks. Sneak peeks on my social media accounts or via direct text message are a tell-tale sign that I am getting very close to sending you your gallery. ;)

WILL YOU BE USING OUR PHOTOS IN YOUR MARKETING?

Please understand that because my business is a visual one and because my ability to find new business relies on my ability to share images, it's important that you are ok with me possibly using your images in my marketing. I take privacy seriously. And my baseline policy is anonymity. Let me assure you that your names and your kids' names will never be shared in any of my marketing. I will never tag you or reveal any identifying information and I always make sure to keep any questionable photos private — unless you give me explicit permission to share them. I encourage you to visit my socials to see how that works in practice. If you would still like to keep your images private, I do charge a $75 privacy fee per booking. Please let me know if this is something you would like to add to your booking fee and I will send you a separate invoice + contract.

DO YOU OFFER PRINTS?

YES! I believe our memories deserve so much more than these little screens which is why almost all of my collections include a print credit. All prints through my shop are sourced from the best of the best photography printers. Prints ordered directly through your gallery typically ship within 3-5 business days. Have another lab you prefer to use? You can download your images through your gallery and use the print lab of your choice. But, I super duper pinky swear, once you print photos through a professional photo lab — you will never ever want to print your family’s keepsake photos through a regular photo printer ever again.
